A South Korean woman in her 40s has been arrested on suspicion of stealing $481,000 worth of cryptocurrency from a friend to pay off her debts. The incident occurred in Jeju City, where the woman allegedly stole the victim's cell phone and accessed their crypto holdings. The Jeju Dongbu Police Station is investigating the case, and the woman may face charges under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes. The stolen crypto was reportedly used to settle her financial obligations.
